After years involved in animal assisted activities, I took my love for dogs, their training and welfare to the next level when I graduated from Janis Bradley’s distinguished Dog Training Internship Academy. The comprehensive course provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior and learning, a high standard for exceptional client interface and transparent business practices. Since learning from Janis and becoming part of her force free network, I proudly started In Good Company. I am constantly expanding my skills and knowledge with the best in the field. More recently, I have earned my CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior Consultant Canine - Knowledge Assessed), an independent certification for my experience and  knowledge as a behavior professional.

I became a registered Pet Partners visiting team in 2008 with Mel and in 2011 with Keeper. As registered “complex” teams, we were held to the highest standards which allowed us to work in complex environments and with complex populations (such as hospitals and children, respectively). As a team, my dogs and I volunteered at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, at Stanford, and at the California School for the Deaf, in Fremont. Additionally, we talked to elementary and middle school students and boy scout and girl scout groups about volunteering in the community, volunteering with animals, and animals with disabilities. I have volunteered over 1,300 hours of my time at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. I provided behavior consults for the HSSV dogs in foster homes and also fostered dogs for HSSV and other rescue organizations. Over the years, I have gained considerable hands-on experience and knowledge from training dogs who are fearful and timid, and also dogs who are blind, deaf or both. I learn so much from each dog I teach as we work together to fine tune inter species communication.

I look forward to working with you and your dog, and to improving the life you share together.
